1. Data Controller and Scope
For purposes of applicable privacy laws, the operator of Mintfy acts as the data controller for website-level interactions, support communications, and app features we directly operate.
- Contact email: ucjv6647@outlook.com
- Policy scope: iOS app usage, advertising-related processing, export/share actions initiated by you, and this public policy website.
- This policy does not replace Apple platform privacy notices for iOS system services.
2. Data We Process
Mintfy does not require account registration and does not maintain a cloud account database for your personal ledger records.
- On-device bookkeeping records you create: amount, category, note, date, and transaction type.
- On-device app settings: monthly budget, passcode-lock status, and custom categories.
- Temporary export files (JSON/CSV) generated only when you request export.
- Support emails you send to us (if any), including the message content and contact address.
- Advertising and measurement data processed by third-party SDKs, which may include device identifiers (such as IDFA when permission is granted), IP address, coarse location, user agent, app/session events, ad impressions, clicks, and diagnostics.
3. Storage and Processing Model
- Ledger and preference data are stored locally on your device storage.
- No automatic cloud sync is enabled by default.
- No background upload of your bookkeeping records is performed by default.
- Advertising SDK requests are sent over the network to ad partners in order to load, deliver, and measure ads.
4. Advertising, Tracking, and ATT
Mintfy uses third-party ad mediation and ad network SDKs (including Appodeal and its integrated partners) to provide ads and perform ad measurement/fraud prevention.
- On iOS, access to IDFA is controlled by Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission prompt.
- If you deny ATT permission, the app does not use IDFA for tracking and ad requests are handled with limited identifiers as permitted by Apple policy.
- You can change tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Tracking.
5. Security Measures
- Optional 4-digit passcode lock is available for app-level access control.
- Passcode validation and failed-attempt handling are implemented in-app.
- Users should keep device-level protections enabled (device passcode/Face ID/Touch ID).
6. Data Retention and Deletion
- On-device records remain until you edit, delete, or clear them.
- Export files remain wherever you choose to store/share them after export.
- Support emails are retained for support and compliance purposes for a reasonable period.
- Ad/analytics data retention is managed by the respective third-party partners under their own retention policies.
7. Third-Party SDKs and Service Providers
Mintfy may use third-party partners for ad mediation, ad delivery, attribution, diagnostics, and infrastructure. These providers may process technical data as independent controllers or processors under their own privacy terms.
- Typical categories: ad mediation/ad networks, attribution/measurement, anti-fraud, and cloud hosting.
- Your interactions with ad content may be processed by those providers to deliver ads, limit fraud, and measure performance.
- We encourage reviewing each provider's privacy policy where applicable.
8. Legal Bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, processing is based on one or more of the following:
- Performance of a contract: enabling core app functionality you request.
- Legitimate interests: maintaining service security and responding to support requests.
- Consent: where you voluntarily choose optional actions (for example ATT-based tracking authorization, contacting support, or exporting data).
- Legal obligations: where required by applicable law.
9. Privacy Rights (GDPR/UK GDPR and Similar Laws)
Subject to local law and verification, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability, and to withdraw consent where applicable.
To submit a rights request, contact ucjv6647@outlook.com. We may need sufficient information to verify and process the request.
10. California Privacy Notice (CCPA/CPRA)
- We do not sell your personal ledger records.
- Certain ad-related technical data may be shared with advertising partners to provide advertising and related measurement, subject to applicable law and settings.
- You may request access/deletion/correction subject to applicable exceptions and verification.
- Authorized agent requests are accepted in accordance with California law.
11. International Transfers and Processors
Because the app is local-first, personal ledger records are generally not transferred to us by default. If you contact support, view this website, or receive ads in the app, related processing may involve service providers in multiple regions.
Where required, we apply appropriate transfer safeguards under applicable law.
12. Children
Mintfy is a general-purpose productivity and finance utility and is not directed to children under the age defined by applicable local law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children for our own purposes. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us for review and deletion where applicable.
13. Policy Updates and Contact
We may update this policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The "Last updated" date shown on this site indicates the latest version.
